SAP BTP Developer

We are looking for a Senior SAP BTP Developer with a strong cloud and architecture mindset. You will design and build cloud-native extensions and services on SAP BTP, following clean core principles and modern SAP development paradigms such as CAP and RAP.

The SAP Smart Technology Unit is one of our 14 units. Unit Lead Niki Vandersteen and his experienced team focus on designing, building, and extending cloud-based solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform. They support our clients by developing integrations, extensions, and automation solutions, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and future-proof applications. By leveraging SAP BTP services, they enable innovation and accelerate digital transformation across the SAP landscape.

 

Your Skills

• A minimum of 4 years' experience as a SAP BTP developer
• strong analytical skills
• An ambitious mindset, eager to learn, collaborate and uplift those around you
• Hands-on experience with CAP (Node.js and TypeScript) and RAP
• Experience building side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP
• Solid knowledge of OData (V2/V4), REST APIs, and event-driven architectures
• Experience with key SAP BTP services (SAP Build, Document AI, Transportation Management, Cloud Foundry)
• Experience with Fiori Elements and BTP security concepts
• Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus

 

Your Core Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud-native applications and services on SAP BTP
• Build and extend solutions using CAP (Node.js/ TypeScript) and RAP
• Implement clean core and side-by-side extensibility patterns
• Develop integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using standard APIs and events
• Configure and consume SAP BTP services to support application development
• Ensure code quality, security, performance, and scalability of BTP solutions
• Collaborate closely with other developers through code reviews and technical alignment
• Keep up with SAP BTP innovations and apply them in day-to-day development
