SAP ABAP Developer

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer with deep expertise in classical SAP backend development. You will work close to the digital core, building and maintaining high-quality custom solutions in SAP S/4HANA landscapes. This role is ideal for someone who values clean, performant ABAP and understands the technical implications of business-critical SAP processes.

The SAP Core Development is one of our 14 units. Unit Lead Bert Huygen and his experienced team focusing on designing, building, and enhancing SAP applications and extensions. They work closely with clients to translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable ABAP solutions. By leveraging core SAP technologies and best practices, they drive innovation and support digital transformation across the SAP landscape.

Your Skills

• A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience
• Strong analytical skills
• An ambitious mindset, eager to learn, collaborate and uplift those around you
• Strong expertise in classic ABAP: Reports, Module Pools, User Exits, BADIs, Enhancements
• Experience with S/4HANA custom development
• Solid knowledge of CDS Views and ABAP SQL optimization
• Experience with interfaces and integrations (IDoc, RFC, OData, Web Services)
• Skilled in performance tuning, debugging, and code remediation
• Familiar with SAP transport and lifecycle management
• Experience with Fiori Elements and security concepts
• Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus

Your Core Responsibilities

• Build, extend, and maintain custom ABAP developments in S/4HANA
• Analyse requirements and implement practical ABAP solutions
• Optimize and debug ABAP code to ensure performance and stability
• Refactor existing ABAP developments to meet S/4HANA standards
• Support upgrades and conversions
